Sandra's carved black lip mother-of-pearl shell earrings honor the unity and oneness of Corn-Maiden and Grandmother in feminine strength and wisdom. The double-sided earrings with turquoise and red coral inlays host both the Corn Maiden who has an etched corn body, as well as Grandmother whose shawl has Dragonfly elements. Incised facial details are filled with jet paste. Including hooks, measurements of these medium-weight adornments are approximately 2 1/2" long, 3/8" wide and 1/4" deep.
