Melvin Sandoval's wild canine (Fox, Wolf or Coyotes) reacts to the approaching rains carved with a beautiful spirit from a handsome serpentine. Diné tradition regards trotting coyotes as weather-makers who conjure the clouds to bring beneficial rain. An offering bundle has delicate melon shell and white shell beads in addition to a watery-blue turquoise one. Approximately 3" long, 1 3/8" wide and roughly 1 3/8" tall.
