The illustrations in Frank Hamilton Cushing's 1883 book Zuni Fetishes has served as artistic inspiration for Lorandina Sheche and her family. Created from magnesite and serpentine, a wonderful Coyote (Fox or Wolf) pair are in the old-style way of carving. Eyes are from amazing pink mussel shell and gold lip shell inlays, while a handsome marble point is accompanied by a branch coral and turquoise nugget. About 2 3/4" long, 1" wide and 1" tall.
