Checkered Pattern Mosaic Earrings

Black and white patterns like checkerboards represent duality and balance. Interestingly, duality patterns are said to be persuasive. Small squares of white marble and jet are overlaid on a bed of jet in these approximately 3 3/4" long including hooks, 1/2" wide and 1/4" deep lightweight earrings. Handmade by celebrated Kewa jeweler Nick Rosetta whose lapidary work is perfection from cutting, grinding, sanding and polishing. He learned traditional jewelry making skills from his parents Ray and Mary Rosetta.
