Shannon Waatsa is a self-taught carver having started in 2016 with the encouragement of Maegan Shetima. Shannon said she's "inspired by watching animals outside interacting with insects and birds. I have two cats at home and I’m inspired by the way they sleep, stretch, and hunt." In collaboration with Maegan Shetima, Shannon's sculpted a regal ruler of the house from marble. Impeccably poised, this jet in turquoise-eyed feline has a bright and friendly red coral cardinal perched on its head. Maegan carved the tiny feathered friend. The kitty's sweet nose is from mother-of-pearl. About 1 5/8" tall, 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" deep.
