Todd Westika's Corn Maiden has been carved from attractive elkhorn marble. Sgraffito etched Corn kernels, stars, growing corn and Dragonfly companions adorn this roughly 5" tall, 2 1/2" wide and 1 1/8" deep sterling silver-eyed Corn Maiden. A turquoise inlaid necklace contrasts beautifully with the soft pink and black hues of this fabulous stone.
Todd is a member of the greater Quandelacy and Johnny Quam (d) family of carvers. His parents are Sheldon and Nancy Westika, wonderful jewelers and carvers themselves. Todd's grandmother was noted jeweler Anne Gasper Quam (d) who learned jewelry making from her father Johnny Quam (d). Anne's sister was Ellen Quandelacy (d).
