For A:Shiwi (The People) Corn-Maidens saved them from famine and drought through the nourishment of sacred corn kernels from their bodies. Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez honors Corn Maiden's gift of life by carving her in serpentine form. Etched and jet paste filled facial features are in iridescent gold lip shell and Dragonflies are a sign of water. A sky blue turquoise cabochon adorns the neck region. About 3" tall, 2" wide and 3/8" deep.
