Enchanting roadrunners have long tails for steering and balance while running up to about 15 mph. Dwelling in arid desert country, they get most of the water they need from the food they eat. A special nasal gland helps them excrete excess salt reducing the need to drink fresh water. Calvert Bowannie's swift roadrunner is sculpted from marble or perhaps Picasso marble. A shaggy crest is nicely etched and ever watchful eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 3 1/2" long, 1" wide and 3/4" tall.
