The animals of Mother Earth are phenomenal teachers with wisdom and insight. Dedicated Beavers are being credited with saving the Czech Republic taxpayers more than $1 million dollars by doing what they do best: building beneficial dams. Originally, officials had hoped to construct a dam to help the Klabava river south of Prague, protecting critically endangered crayfish from nearby acidic ponds and farmlands from flooding. The project stalled due to land negotiations. Now they don't have to worry about it as important beavers knew what had to be done. Also, vital beavers in California have reestablished a floodplain near Sacramento. Freddie Leekya's indigenous Zuni travertine water master assesses the flow through turquoise inlaid eyes, while leaning on a real wooden stick. An adorable nose and incisors are from overlaid pen shell and gold lip mother-of-pearl shell. A cross-hatched tail is worthy of a great slap on the water. About 1 3/4" tall, 1" wide and 1 7/8" deep.
