Sunface Seahorse

Seahorses were sacred to Poseidon god of the ocean believed to protect sailors from evil and rough waters. These exceptional water creatures from the pipefish family mate for life and bring a gentle beauty to their ocean homes. Cody Chavez's lovely phosphosiderite seahorse is about 1 3/4" tall, 1" wide and 3/8" deep. Eyes are from turquoise inlays, while a Zuni Sunface symbol from coral, jet and turquoise represents the elements in balance.
