Marble is made richer by meticulous sgraffito etching on Nelson Yatsattie's wonderful bushytail (
Fox,
Wolf or
Coyote). A furry coat and tail is achieved by a technique of ornamentation called sgraffito in which a surface layer is incised to reveal a ground of contrasting color. We love the expression on this approximately 4 3/4" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/2" tall canine's turquoise-eyed face.
