Todd Westika's Corn-Maiden with gorgeous sterling silver facial features is sculpted from lovely howlite, a borate mineral often referred to as White Buffalo Stone because it resembles White Buffalo turquoise from Nevada. An incised corn body, cornstalk and hovering Dragonflies accent this approximately 2 7/8" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 5/8" deep stunning carving. Although water insects, dragonflies visit corn fields to eat pests like mosquitoes, flies and aphids, perching on corn tassels or stalks.
