Pueblo cultures revere corn by giving dances in gratitude for a bountiful crop. A carved turquoise
corn necklace and earrings set is handmade by Zuni jeweler Tracey Bowekaty. Colorful red coral, perhaps alunite, malachite, lapis lazuli and jet inlays adorn the individual vegetables that are housed by elegant settings from sterling silver husks and three ball elements. The earrings for pierced ears are approximately 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. The gorgeous necklace with hand-fabricated sterling silver chain is about 20" long. What a way to brighten up any outfit.
