Lewis Malie
Indigenous wisdom includes a deep connection with the land, a coexistence and kinship with Mother Earth and all her inhabitants. Animals like Eagles, Wolves, Bears, Deer and Mountain-lions are teachers and spiritual guides whose example in nature, known as animal medicine, helps us to be better people and treat the natural world with respect and appreciation. Carved from one antler specimen, Lewis Malie's extraordinary piece depicts these wonderful animals in exquisite detail. Eyes are drilled. About 4 1/2" tall, 2 5/8" wide and 2 1/2" deep.

Ray Tsalate
Ray Tsalate's old-style Eagle is masterfully carved of antler, about 2 1/2" long, 1" tall and 1 1/8" wide. An "X" shaped inlay of mother-of-pearl and pen shell represents wings, decorated with variscite pieces. Ray also inlaid lapis side wings and colorful tail feather accents of red coral, malachite, sugilite and orange spiny oyster shell. Seeing everything, this exquisite raptor has one eye of variscite, while the other is of lapis.
