Habitat fragmentation has severely effected Mountain-lion (cougar, puma or panther) populations in states like California. There they desperately need more wildlife crossings over or under highways to allow them to mix with other populations and maintain genetic diversity. Wildlife crossings also assist in avoiding collisions between vehicles and animals. Danette Laate's earthy dolomite feline is inlaid with a uniquely positioned heartline or breath path from turquoise, jet and coral. The same rich materials were utilized to set a Zuni Sunface element as well. Eyes are from turquoise inlays and whiskers are sweetly etched. About 2 3/4" long, 1/2" wide and 5/8" tall.
