Gentle Manatee

Moving along in shallow waters, Melvin Sandoval's gentle manatee uses flippers to push off the bottom to graze on aquatic vegetation while a paddle-shaped tail provides propelling power. Masterfully sculpted from a soothing dolomite with an interesting orange-yellow hued inclusion, this wonderful water creature measures approximately 4 3/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 7/8" tall. A manatee's grazing helps maintain healthy ecosystems which provide food and shelter for other marine life.
