Tracey Bowekaty's carved spiny oyster shell
corn earrings are inlaid with vibrant turquoise, red coral and malachite accents. Stylized stalks of sterling silver are beautiful additions to these energizing post earrings that measure about 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. They are of a lightweight in wearability. Zunis and other Indigenous societies were farmers growing corn as a sustenance crop. Planted and harvested today, corn is called The Mother because it’s cultivated from Mother Earth.
