Two adorably intersecting Turtles have been carved from one portion of angelite by Cody Chavez. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. An etched carapace is also inlaid with turquoise. Turtles have a rain association in Zuni where their shells are prized for making rattles used by the Rain Dancers. Measurements are approximately 2 1/2" long, 1 3/4" wide and 1 5/8" tall. View item

Burt Awelagte chose a wonderful specimen of Peruvian angelite to create a Bison. With its large head bowed down and white inclusions marking the stone this carving invokes a story of a great bison plowing through the prairie deep with winter snow. Bison, or buffalo, represent abundance and prosperity. This wonderful bovine is about 3 3/4" long, 2" wide, and 3" tall with eyes of inlaid turquoise and a pretty seashell offering. View item
