A Zuni Sunface symbol and a traditional Rainbird element are creatively presented in an exquisite sterling silver pendant by Sheryl and Strallie Edaakie. The Sunface symbol represents the elements of earth, sky and water in balance. The abstracted Rainbird has a pen shell eye and beak which flows into the pendant's curve. The Sunface suspends beautifully within the work of wearable art. Colorfully inlaid materials include turquoise, pen shell, serpentine, coral, spiny oyster shell or perhaps apple coral and gold lip shell. The light and airy pendant measures about 2 1/4" long including bale and 7/8" wide. Signed by the artists.
