By Verrick Laiwakete

Animal: Bear, Material: Onyx
This offering is sold.

In the words of essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, ones certainly applicable to Kenric Laiwakete's son Verrick Laiwakete. This young artist carved a wonderful Bear in the likeness of his father's fine work. He's only in middle school and already displaying a great carving prowess. Thoughtful eyes and a heartline or breath path on either side are set with colorful turquoise contrasting with the lovely onyx specimen. About 2" long, 7/8" wide and 2 7/8" tall.

When you shop keshi.com you're supporting an Indigenous artist like young Verrick who sets his own wholesale prices in keeping with our mission of promoting equitable treatment of artists.
