A peaceful stag and doe (or
Elk) by Salvador Romero are carved from two separate found stones originating at Cochiti Pueblo. The stag's stone hosts handsome rusty red colors hinting at what the outer surface once looked like. They are bound together with a bright offering bundle from assorted turquoise and coral beads among others.
Deer mating season usually begins in the autumn months. About 5 1/4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 2 3/4" tall.
