James Panteah's Eaglet will soon fledge the family nest. His parents are noted carvers Abby and Clayton Panteah. Brother Silvan Panteah is a stone carver as well. They descend from the greater Hustito and Lowsayatee family of Zuni artists. Carved from pyrite with gorgeous peacock ore encrustations, dimensions of this baby raptor (or perhaps a Hawk) are approximately 1 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. Captivating eyes are from cultured opal inlays.
