Apache Gold is a natural combination of chalcopyrite which is the shiny gold-like areas, as well as a black schist that acts as the host rock. Nelson Yatsattie's crouching Frog has been sculpted from this difficult to carve material that yields beautiful results. Frogs are incredible creatures who represent cleansing and essential life-giving water for the A:Shiwi (The People). Observant eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 2 3/8" long, 1 3/4" wide and 5/8" tall.
