A precious froglet has been carved by Nelson Yatsattie. When a tadpole reaches the froglet stage it is nearly an adult. The tadpole's gills have vanished and its lungs have enlarged and so it's ready to leave the water and live on land as well. Once its tail disappears, it will officially become an adult frog. This approximately 2 1/2" long, 1 5/8" wide and 3/4" tall young Frog appears to still have its sweet tail. Eyes and back inlays are from turquoise. A natural crystalline inclusion in the ricolite is like a continuous heartline or breath path starting at the mouth leading to the heart region.
