Venezuelan Serpentine Macaw

As a member of the Parrot Clan, noted artist Dan Simplicio Jr. is drawn to carving these amazing birds, as seen with his spectacular perched macaw or parrot made from verdant Venezuelan serpentine. The varying green hues within this mineral are really stunning. We don't see many carvings from him so this approximately 4 1/2" tall, 1 5/8" wide and 2 3/8" deep feathered friend is special. We're admiring the bird's interesting and layered plumage. Eyes are from perhaps shell.
