Striped Desert Roadrunner

Nelson Yatsattie's yellow dolomite roadrunner blends in perfectly with the desert sunset. The lines down the back of the carving hint at the the swiftness with which the bird moves; hunting reptiles, small mammals and even other birds. Eyes from turquoise focus are focused, while a long set of tail feathers help to maintain balance. The fearless hunter measures about 4" long, 3/4" wide by 1 3/8" thick.
