Bryston Bowannie's black marble
Bison is dark and inky with a glossy polish. The bison has glorious texture carved into the stone for a wooly coat. Bryston chose to carve a raised heartline from the stone rather than inlaid with a separate material. The effect if terrific against the texturized surface and has a powerful feel in hand tracing the line with your finger. The bison wears an offering bundle of a turquoise arrow point topped with turquoise and shell beads. The bison measures about 4 3/8" long, 1 5/8" wide by 2 3/4" tall. This carving makes for a wonderful sensory experience with the cold smooth marble stone, the textured coat, curvy horns and raised heartline.
