Honoring Grandmother Reversible Necklace

By Joel Pajarito, Kewa (Santo Domingo)

This offering is sold.
Joel Pajarito's artistic lineage is outstanding. His father is award-winning jeweler Anthony Lovato. This collectible and reversible necklace is made in honor of his grandmother Mary C. Lovato, a renowned mosaic jeweler. Carrying on in the tufa cast tradition his father taught him, Joel's handmade sterling silver link necklace is a two-sided presentation of both mosaic inlay and tufa casting. Materials like Cerrillos and Royston turquoises, watery abalone, bright red coral and vibrant lapis lazuli were utilized in a harmonious arrangement. The various stations are created in the tufa casting method, while the individual link stations are hand-stamped with amazing designs like rain clouds, Dragonflies, corn cobs, spiral elements and other exquisite elements. The side stations measure approximately 1" long and 3/4" wide, while the center station is roughly 1 1/2" long and 1 3/8" wide. The phenomenally beautiful necklace is about 24" long. Signed by the artist.
