Fast-Paced Roadrunner

Among the cholla cactus and junipers of the desert Southwest, Calvert Bowannie's turquoise roadrunner swiftly hunts reptiles, small mammals and even birds. Elongated plumage is attractive. Eyes from pen shell focus on prey, while long tail feathers stream behind. A pointy beak and etched crest is gorgeously carved too. About 3 5/8" long, 5/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall.
