An appreciation of life-giving Corn
is acknowledged in a handmade sterling silver tufa cast ring by award-winning master jeweler Anthony Lovato. In the creation of this exquisite work, Anthony harvested the tufa sandstone from the Hopi Reservation. Back in his studio, a hand saw was used to slice the tufa into manageable portions. He then meticulously carved this one of a kind design into the sandstone. Molten silver was then poured into the block and allowed to cool. He says that corn evokes family. The lone turquoise cabochon is like a cherry on top. This is a ring size 8 1/2. It tapers from roughly 1 1/8" to 5/8" wide. Anthony's jewelry is comfortable to wear. Signed by the artist.
