Zuni artist Loren Tsalabutie told us "my favorite animal to carve is the mountain lion which oddly enough was the most difficult to carve when I first started carving." We're honored to share a masterfully sculpted Mountain-lion (puma, cougar or panther) who shows us that it is the best hunter around. A turned head with emotive eyes from turquoise inlays, a mid-stride pose and the flick of a long powerful tail capture the essence of a breathing mountain lion in this approximately 3 1/2" long, roughly 1 7/8" wide and 2" tall energized feline brought to life from gorgeous Boulder opal. Opalized veins of verdant green, purple, pink and blue course through the ironstone-rich gemstone.
