A perfectly formed antler Corn Maiden is by Troy Sice. He is an accomplished artist and third-generation carver, the grandson of the late George H. CheeChee. His creations have garnered awards in many shows across the country. Wearing a warm blanket, Corn Maiden's jet paste eyes and perhaps pipestone mouth convey a soothing face, while individually etched Corn kernels are highlighted with coral pieces. Her covering is adorned with Dragonfly and star elements that have been etched and filled with either jet or pipestone paste. Pen shell, lapis and turquoise inlays are also beautifully set. About 2 1/8" tall, 5/8" wide and 1/2" deep.
