Indigenous worldview encompasses respect, reciprocity and living in harmony with Mother Earth, among other important principles. Powerful brother Bear teaches lessons in humility and regard for others, to take only what is needed and to always give back. Smoothly sculpted from sodalite with lovely inclusions, including two that resemble natural breath paths on the face leading back to the heart region, this wonderful carving is approximately 3 1/2" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" tall. Eyes of wisdom are from red coral inlays. Representing gratitude for the bear, artist Cheryl Beyuka secured an offering bundle with colorful lapis lazuli, coral, turquoise, moonstone, jet, selenite and clear quartz beads.
