Badgers contribute to New Mexico's rich wildlife heritage. They are great diggers hollowing out homes using powerfully clawed paws. Deep in their burrows they have constant contact with the roots that thrive there, giving an intimate knowledge of uses in healing. They are a protective animal for the A:Shiwi (The People). Kenric Laiwakete's rhyolite badger has watchful eyes from turquoise as well as a stunning triple turquoise inlaid heartline or breath path. Roughly 2 7/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
