Daniel Chattin's exquisite Corn-maiden is carved from a rare and gorgeous piece of chrysocolla in a heavy hemetite matrix. Her bangs are incised and her facial features are inlaid with jet. She wears a lovely coral cabochon. Her body in incised with many plump kernels while her corn husk shawl keeps her protected and warm. Pueblo people call Corn itself "the mother" because of their dependance on corn and corn's emergence from the primary mother, Earth. You could carry this lovely lady with you in a leather cornmeal pouch.
