A fast moving river releases a turquoise-eyed fish to a mighty Eagle's (or a Hawk's) powerful talons in a dynamic scene carved from one portion of Picasso marble. The noisy current is creatively represented by crushed turquoise, while the underwater world is a stunning mosaic from branch red coral, turquoise, sterling silver, mother-of-pearl, orange spiny oyster shell, jet and sparkling cultured opal inlays representing air bubbles. The great hunter's eyes are from inlaid turquoise and mighty wings are intricately detailed. Measurements of this unique work are approximately 3 3/8" tall, 1 5/8" wide and roughly 3 1/8" deep, by master carver Elfina Lowsayatee.

Clive Hustito
Clive Hustito's guarded Mountain-lion from Picasso marble is part of the Six-Directions with a specific color and animal associated with each one. Long ago the Father of Medicine Societies, Po-shai-an-kia established predatory animals as guardians of the Six Directions who are healing and protective. The turquoise-eyed feline, whose assigned color is yellow, is one of the Six Directional animals including a jet (black) Mole, a mother-of-pearl (white) Wolf, a dyed bamboo coral (red) Badger, a turquoise (blue) Bear and a turquoise (many-colored) Eagle. Dimensions including the gorgeous point base from found stone are approximately 4 3/8" long, 1 5/8" wide and 2 1/2" tall. Clive's initials are incised on the hip region of the great cat.
Todd Lowsayatee
A mighty Eagle's (or Hawk's) elevated wings and balancing tail feathers are precision-etched by Todd Lowsayatee who specializes in carving magnificent raptors. Sculpted from serpentine, this hooked-beak raptor is approximately 3 1/8" tall, 3/4" wide and 2 1/8" deep. Intense eyes are from turquoise inlays as blue as the expansive skies of eagle territory.
Todd Westika
Found only in Western Australia, mookaite jasper is from a deposit on private land at Mooka Creek. Said to energize with life-force vigor, this gorgeous natural material is made up of different minerals and fossilized substances, most notably tiny aquatic plankton called radiolaria. Leave it to noted Zuni artist Todd Westika, who graduated from New Mexico Tech with a background in geo-engineering, to carve stunning mookaite jasper into this glorious Eagle (or Hawk) fetish necklace. His passion for rocks and minerals draws him to work with unusual stones. Each amazing raptor has eyes from sterling silver inlays. The center bird with spread wings is approximately 1 3/8" long and 1 5/8" wide, while the side raptors perch at roughly 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" long. Lovely sky blue turquoise, sterling silver and red coral beads accompany the birds on this collectible necklace that's about 30" long. Signed by the artist.

David Chavez Jr.
Many Indigenous cultures give traditional dances honoring the spiritual and physical power of eagles. David Chavez, Jr.'s perched hooked-beak Eagle or Hawk presides over the land seeing great distances thanks to extraordinary vision. In nature, these grand raptors really see the whole picture teaching us to try and do the same in any of life's situations. This is good animal medicine for us. Carved from a handsome green marble with stunning pickle-green hued inclusions, this approximately 1 3/4" long, 1" wide and 1 5/8" tall bird has eyes and inlay accents from sky blue turquoise. Cleanly incised lines emphasize mighty wing and tail feather details.
Lewis Malie
Indigenous wisdom includes a deep connection with the land, a coexistence and kinship with Mother Earth and all her inhabitants. Animals like Eagles, Wolves, Bears, Deer and Mountain-lions are teachers and spiritual guides whose example in nature, known as animal medicine, helps us to be better people and treat the natural world with respect and appreciation. Carved from one antler specimen, Lewis Malie's extraordinary piece depicts these wonderful animals in exquisite detail. Eyes are drilled. About 4 1/2" tall, 2 5/8" wide and 2 1/2" deep.
Destry Siutza
Destry Siutza has created an intriguing scene with many Bears climbing cooperatively to reach the sweet honey beehives that are high up in a tree's canopy. Keeping company are magnificent Eagles who peacefully coexist in this extraordinary composition from antler. The creature's happy eyes are from turquoise inlays. By spending time in nature, we engage our senses to appreciate and learn from creation's beauty, complexity and interconnectedness especially that of incredible animal life. Approximately 4 1/8" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
Cameron Kalestewa
Powerful Eagle (or little brother Hawk) keeps watch over Zuni Pueblo as depicted in multi-media artist Cameron Kalestewa's pine woodwork and bright acrylic wall hanging that's intricately burnt in the pyrogravure art technique. Pyrography is the art of producing a design on wood by applying heat and pressure. A medium gaining new popularity among artists in recent years, pryogravure literally means “writing with fire” with origins that go back to the earliest days of humankind used by ancient craftsman from Peru, Egypt and China. Cameron is one of the best pyrographers in Zuni. Other harmonious details include mighty Bear, quick roadrunner, a Zuni Sunface abstraction, tracks and feathered arrow elements. Measurements are about 9 3/4" long including the lovely beaded loop with turquoise, 8 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep. Signed by the artist.
