Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo Quandelacy are masters when it comes to carving Medicine-bears (or Bears). In fact, their bears have almost become the classic Zuni Pueblo carving. Stewart's artistry descends through his late mother Ellen Quandelacy who learned the art of stone carving from her father Johnny Quam. A pleasingly rounded back, skilled inlay from turquoise for eyes and an alternating heartline or breath path, all add to this powerful bear from an organically curved orange spiny oyster shell. About 2 1/8" long, 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
