Prairie dogs are very social, close-knit creatures who greet family members by gently touching their front teeth and noses together. A keystone species, prairie dog's tunnel systems actually channel rainwater into the water table which prevents runoff and erosion. Their mound-building encourages grass to grow and renews the topsoil. Fabian Tsethlikai's prairie dog village is too cute for words. Each burrowing creature from picture jasper is positioned in the cutest ways. Their alert eyes are from turquoise inlays. Including the home base from serpentine with augite, dimensions in their entirety are about 2 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1" tall.
