Fossil Stone Parrot

Melodious speech comes from a hook-billed brilliant parrot carved from an orthoceras marble. These ancient cephalopods had long cone-shaped shells equipped with jet propulsion like modern day squid. This striking specimen is teeming with them in all sizes. Etched plumage is outstanding, while jet in gold lip mother-of-pearl shell eyes enchant. A wonderful size at approximately 9 1/4" tall, 3" wide and 2 3/4" deep carved by Clayton Panteah.
