Two of our favorite garden visitors have showed up at the same time in master jeweler Quintin Quam's joyous Hummingbird and Butterfly pendant. Handmade in the challenging overlay inlay jewelry technique, a top piece of sterling silver was laboriously sawed out to leave a negative space of design. Another piece of silver was annealed to it. Stones, corals and shells were then meticulously inlaid bringing the happy summer scene to life framed by a stunning sky blue turquoise, bright red coral and shell border. Colorful materials include coral, gold lip mother-of-pearl shell, turquoise, alunite, spiny oyster shell, jet, malachite and iridescent abalone. The gorgeous pendant brings a sense of connection to the natural world thanks to Quintin's creativity. Including the lovely bale, measurements are approximately 2 3/4" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1/4" deep.
