Marvelita Phillips' father was noted Zuni Pueblo carver and jeweler Leonard Halate (d) who started carving in the 1940's. Her brother is carving great Herbert Halate. Son Brandon Phillips is an active and wonderful artist as well. Whenever we get an opportunity to share a fetish necklace by Marvelita, we're excited.
