True to its name, a stunning specimen of watermelon serpentine actually hosts a small inclusion resembling a juicy wedge of watermelon in Lynn and Jayne Quam's reversible Sunface and mosaic
Bison (or buffalo). The Sunface element is inlaid with sky blue turquoise, jet and pipestone with radiating turquoise accents. The other side has a gorgeous landscape mosaic set with colorful materials like crushed azurite, tidgilite, rhyolite, crushed lapis, malachite, spiny oyster shell, pen shell, purple fluorite, alunite, abalone, serpentine with augite, magnesite and onyx. Soulful eyes and mighty horns are from turquoise. A generous size at approximately 7" long, 2" wide and 4 1/8" tall.
