Lamar James' sterling silver and turquoise earrings are a lovely expression of the Zuni petit point style of jewelry making. It's dazzling, intricate and labor intensive, as each silver bezel is handmade to hold one tiny hand shaped stone. Lamar uses the classic technique, called snake eye petit point (thanks to the small round stones), in a contemporary layout. Creating these lovely earring rings doted with turquoise which are light and easy to wear. Each earring measures about 2 5/8" long from the top station, with the ear post centered at the back, by 1 1/2" at the widest point. Made for pierced ears, each piece is signed by the artist.
