Mountain-lion (puma, panther, leopard or cougar) has eyes from inlaid turquoise. An extraordinary trio of heartlines or breath paths are set from turquoise and create a striking contrast to the rich marble or perhaps a fossiliferous marble. At Zuni Pueblo, mountain lion carvings are traditionally used when hunting large game because mountain lions are the best hunters around. They are also carried as a protector when traveling. About 4" long, 1" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
