Smokey Gchachu is a fabulous designer from Zuni creating mind blowing works of wearable art such as this sterling silver pendant necklace. The stunning pendant that itself measures approximately 4 1/4" long including bale, 1 1/8" wide and 1/8" deep, is decorated with uniquely-shaped Emerald Valley turquoise and tiny purple spiny oyster shell cabochons. Emerald Valley turquoise comes from Nevada mined near the Royston turquoise mine. The wonderful stylized pendant is removable from the equally gorgeous handmade woven silver chain, that itself is about 16" long. The colorful stones and shells are held by fine silver bezels made in the Zuni petit point jewelry tradition. Their stations are united by silver double jump rings.
