Seed Stashing Squirrel

Running and leaping from tree limb to tree limb, squirrels are a joy to watch. Indigenous cultures view the squirrel as a resourceful creature who prepares for the future. When these delightful woodland creatures stash their seeds, some seeds grow thereby regenerating forests. Gilbert Lonjose's alabaster squirrel is a sweet friend measuring about 2 1/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall, carved from alabaster. A fluffy curled tail is sgraffito-etched. Alert eyes are from turquoise inlays.
