Ladybug Paradise

Precious colorful ladybugs are a gardener's best friend because they feed on thousands of insects like aphids and mites. In 1985 Zuni artists Georgette Quam Lunasee and Reynold Lunasee started carving together. Georgette sculpted and inlaid the beneficial beetle from apple coral, jet and turquoise, while Reynold did the sanding and buffing. Permanently presented on a perhaps #8 Mine turquoise etched leaf, dimensions all together are approximately 1 7/8" long, 1" wide and 1/2" tall.
