A happy marsupial is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face because koalas are a great example of a tranquil and Zennish state. A quiet life among the fragrant eucalyptus trees and leaves probably contributes to their meditative quality. Carved from red onyx and inlaid with turquoise eyes, Georgette Quam Lunasee and Reynold Lunasee's upright koala is about 2" tall, 1" wide and 7/8" deep. The Lunasee's started carving together in 1985, learning at the same time. The very first carving Georgette created was a frog, while Reynold's first carving was a bear.
