Tiger Warrior

The Hindu warrior goddess Durga is depicted riding a tiger or lion and has between eight and eighteen hands each holding a weapon capable of destruction or creation. Powerful tigers are central to India’s ancient religion, folklore and mythology. Wild tigers are on the brink of extinction due to poaching, habitat loss, illegal logging and the illegal wildlife trade. We can help tigers by not buying wildlife products domestically or overseas. We can support laws that protect endangered species too. Bryston Bowannie's young tiger is carved from red onyx to a size of roughly 1 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. Eyes are from turquoise inlays.
