Part of the fun in collecting Zuni animal carvings is the stones. Rebecca Davis used a deep-hued and rich Picasso marble when carving a uniquely shaped Medicine-Bear. It has a little bit of everything like natural patterning and interesting inclusions. Closely set eyes and a heartline are from lovely crushed turquoise inlays. Reflecting the complexity of the natural world, dimensions are about 2 1/4" long, 5/8" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
